The National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association is the nation's oldest and largest organization representing the professional alarm industry. Founded in 1948, the association represents more than 3,500 member companies and their more than 30,000 employees in 40 Chartered State Associations. The voice of the alarm industry, NBFAA's services include lobbying activities, liability insurance programs, conventions and meetings, publications and the National Training School. NBFAA is actively involved in false alarm reduction, code and standards development, and alarm occupational licensing regulation.
